The bOost awards put the pride, growth and impact of Oost-Nederland in the spotlight — a regional awards night that gives a stage to the companies, initiatives and talents moving the region forward.
More than a logo for one night: the brand carries a whole season.
From nominations and the reveal of the genomineerden to the live show in the Deventer Schouwburg, the aftermovie and the winners — five awards, an independent jury and regional press, all under one identity that has to amplify. It scales from a small nomination badge to a stage-width backdrop, survives projection, print and a vertical recap reel, and stays celebratory without ever pulling focus from the names being honoured.
The whole identity is built around boost — a lowercase mark with an open, optimistic feel, fresh lime energy against a calm near-black, and a clear blue that carries the regional map of Oost-Nederland. The energy does the shouting so the winners don’t have to: Volta Energy, IJsselbiënnale, AMI Kappers, Deventer Bijzonder and the region’s young talent get to simply be celebrated.
Motion graphics drove the live show — nominee reveals, category intros and winner moments — running the full length of the evening on the Deventer Schouwburg screen.
The logic: lime is the energy and the highlight, near-black grounds everything, and the blue carries the map of Oost-Nederland that ties every screen back to the region. Loud where it counts, calm where the names are.
The invitation that opened the season — the same system, folded down to a piece you can hold. Drag to read both pages.
Event identity, motion direction and environmental design at Onwise — built as a kit the bOost team could run across a full season, from nominations to the show in the Deventer Schouwburg, without me in the room for every asset.
